GENERAL INFORMATION

The Indiana General Assembly is a part-time legislature and meets for approximately 10-weeks in even-numbered years and 16-weeks in odd numbered years. During this time, things are very fast-paced and exciting as the legislators are hard at work getting bills passed so that they can become laws. During these 10 or 16 weeks, the General Assembly meets for committees as well as session, which all members participate in, to vote on bills, Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday. On Wednesdays, only committees are held.

Students may pick between Paging for the Indiana Senate or the Indiana House of Representatives. Both offer unique but similar experiences.
